If callers cannot hear you when using Avaya Communicator, but you can hear them, there could be several causes.


  • Connection glitch:
    • Unplug, pause,  then re-plug your headphones into your computer
    • Check your headphone cable, does it have other plugs that should be un-plugged and re-plugged, e.g. connection into a control panel?
  • Windows sound check:
    • Test the microphone using Windows settings - if windows cannot detect any sound, the problem is not with Avaya Communicator
  • Avaya Communicator Settings
    • Choose Settings, Audio
    • Ensure Microphone option is populated with the device corresponding to your headset
